The story is about a young girl who is bullied by someone who used to be a friend. Eventually, the girl makes a new friend who helps her to cope with and deal with the issue. (for older students)<\/div>    <\/div>\n    <span style=\"display: none;\"\n      class=\"variables-hidden icons-show\"      >\n      book    <\/span>\n      <\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"detailed-link\">\n    <div class=\"link-text\">\n        <a\n          href=\"javascript: return false;\"\n                    >\n          Iris the Dragon <span>series<\/span>        <\/a>\n        <div class=\"desc\">Based in Ontario, this series of books is created by the Iris the Dragon charity. Text is limited, but the illustrations depict worries and feelings. A small red leaf is included in each picture to symbolize hope.<\/div>    <\/div>\n    <span style=\"display: none;\"\n      class=\"variables-hidden icons-show\"      >\n      book    <\/span>\n      <\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"detailed-link\">\n    <div class=\"link-text\">\n        <a\n          href=\"javascript: return false;\"\n                    >\n          Scaredy Squirrel <span>written and illustrated by M\u00e9lanie Watt (Kids Can Press, 2008\u2013present)<\/span>        <\/a>\n        <div class=\"desc\">A series of books based around a character that identifies his fears, avoids them at all costs, creates contingency plans, but inevitably ends up facing the fears he tried to avoid. He eventually learns his fears aren\u2019t as bad as he thought they would be. Told in a fun and simple way, the <em>Scaredy Squirrel<\/em> series is a good entry point for discussing anxiety.<\/div>    <\/div>\n    <span style=\"display: none;\"\n      class=\"variables-hidden icons-show\"      >\n      book    <\/span>\n      <\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"detailed-link\">\n    <div class=\"link-text\">\n        <a\n          href=\"javascript: return false;\"\n                    >\n          Virginia Wolf <span>written by Kyo Maclear and illustrated by Isabelle Arsenault (Kids Can Press, 2012)<\/span>        <\/a>\n        <div class=\"desc\">Narrated by Virginia\u2019s sister, Vanessa, this book tells the story of Virginia\u2019s depression, which is represented as a wolf.
