It is a low-risk game that encourages students to interact and converse with each other, bringing forward their ideas in a small-group situation. Positive relationships are developed because the social skills of cooperating and collaborating are reinforced.<\/p>\n  <p><span class=\"Blue_hi-lite_noItalics\"><strong>Materials:<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"Blue_hi-lite\"><br>\n\t\t<\/span>&#8211; class or school rules written on cards<br>\n\t<span class=\"Blue_hi-lite_noItalics\"><strong>Grouping:<\/strong><\/span> whole class divided into small groups<\/p>\n\t\t<h2 id=\"Playing_the_Game\"><span class=\"heading2\">Playing the Game<\/span> <\/h2>\n\t\t<ol>\n\t\t<li>Organize the students into small cooperative groups.<\/li>\n\t\t<li>Give each group a class or school rule (e.g., no running in the halls). Groups must think of a way to present that rule using actions and not words.<\/li>\n\t\t<li>Explain that each group member gets to share an idea and then the group needs to come to a consensus about the actions they will perform.<\/li>\n\t\t<li>Provide groups with time to create their charade and time to practise acting out the rule.<\/li>\n\t\t<li>Invite groups to demonstrate their charades to the class. <\/li>\n\t\t<li>Encourage audience participation in trying to guess the rule. Ask questions to help students guess the charades.
